FOOD & BEVERAGE BARISTA
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Craft and serve a range of hot and cold drinks such as coffees including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on customer preference and beverage service goals.
- Ensure timely and efficient service while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Operate beverage making equipment including blenders, espresso machines, grinders, and brewers. Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and calibrated regularly.
- Ensure work area is kept clean; equipment, and serving areas are clean and always sanitized following health and safety guidelines. Dispose of waste properly.
- Maintain inventory of supplies; restock items as needed, informing Manager when items require re-ordering.
- Accurately process payments including cash, credit and debit cards using a POS system in accordance with established policies. Maintain cash drawer and reconcile transactions at the end of shifts.
- Complete operational procedures accurately and according to the standard operating procedures.
- Stay updated on coffee blends, brewing techniques, and menu offerings. Provide information about coffee beans, origin, and flavor profiles to customers.
- Promote seasonal specials, merchandise, or loyalty programs to customers.
- Encourage additional sales through upselling or suggestive selling techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation. Assist in training new
- staff members as needed.
- Other related duties may be assigned from time to time by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Barista preparing specialty coffee drinks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be customer service oriented, possessing a demonstrable commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality beverages.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards.
- Proficient with Point of Sales (POS) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes outside of normal business hours(i.e. mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays).
Hourly Range: US$8.00 - US$10.00 per hour + gratuities
