We are looking for experienced kitchen staff to join our busy food and hospitality team at Quex Adventure Farm Park.
This role is suited to people who have worked in a fast-paced kitchen before and understand the importance of speed, cleanliness, teamwork, consistency and allergen awareness. Our food outlets get especially busy during weekends, school holidays and seasonal events, so we need people who can stay calm, organised and focused under pressure.
The role includes:
- Preparing and cooking food to a consistent standard
- Supporting service during busy periods
- Working on BBQ service and outdoor food offerings during peak times
- Supporting seasonal events, special menus and high-volume visitor days
- Understanding the importance of allergens and following allergen procedures carefully
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant
- Following food hygiene and safety procedures
- Helping with prep, stock rotation and kitchen close-down
- Working closely with front-of-house and management teams
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a kitchen or catering environment
- Fast, reliable and organised• Confident working under pressure
- A strong team player
- Comfortable supporting BBQs, events and seasonal food service
- Already aware of the importance of allergens and cross-contamination controls
- Proud of maintaining clean and safe working standards
- Available for weekends, school holidays and event periods
Food hygiene training would be an advantage, but further training can be provided for the right person.
Experience Required
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen, catering or food service environment is required. Applicants should already understand how to work quickly and safely under pressure, follow food hygiene procedures, support consistent food preparation and service, and be aware of the importance of allergen controls, cross-contamination prevention and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen.
