Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and masking areas as required before painting or decorating.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care to achieve a smooth and professional appearance.
- Use various tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues encountered.
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and safely storing tools after each job.
- Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence preferred to enable travel between multiple sites.
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to understand instructions clearly.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating tasks.
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards punctuality and customer service.
