Clarke Transport is recruiting a professional CLASS 1 NIGHT TRUNK DRIVER to join our team at the Basildon, operating an internal trunk service to our MAIN HUB IN BIRMINGHAM
THE ROLE
- Starting at 18:00 & 19:00 DEPENDING ON DEPARTURE TIME (ROTATING WITH OTHER DRIVERS)
- Return to the Home Depot in BASILDON
ROLE DETAILS
- Class 1 Night Trunk Driver
- £20.51
- PAID WEEKLY EVERY THURSDAY
- ASSIGNED VEHICLE, SUBJECT TO SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES
- Monday to Friday only – NO WEEKENDS
- INTERNAL TRUNK OPERATION—NO MULTI-DROP DELIVERIES
- ADR qualification preferred, although FULL ADR TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED WHERE REQUIRED
- Based at our BASILDON DEPOT

We are looking for a professional and team-focused driver who:
- Holds a valid Category C+E driving licence
- Holds a valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Holds a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Works safely and professionally
- Understands drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive requirements
- Takes pride in their vehicle and standard of work
- Is reliable, punctual and comfortable working nights
- Values consistency, respect and fair treatment
- Wants to become a long-term member of a supportive team
ASSESSMENT AND INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY
We are currently offering the following assessment and interview appointments:
- MONDAY 10TH AUGUST 2026 – BETWEEN 10:00 & 13:00
- TUESDAY 11TH AUGUST 2026 – ALL DAY
- WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST 2026 – ALL DAY
- THURSDAY 13TH AUGUST 2026 – ALL DAY
- FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST 2026 - BETWEEN 10:00 & 13:00
Interviews can be arranged outside of these times with notice, if required.
