Overview and scope of job role:
The CNC Turning Centre Setter/Operator is required to set and run high precision, high value parts to finish size with a tight specification. The person will be expected to work within a defined procedural framework, using SPC (Statistical Process Control) to control and predict process deviations to ensure an exceptional high quality standard with minimal scrap levels.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
· Running a number machines
· Replacing and setting cutting tools
· Preparing collets (work holding)
· Product change-over which will involve removing the tool-holders and resetting zero points
· Selecting and changing programmes as needed
· Measurement of parts produced to specifications and record on computer
· Maintain a low level of machining burrs
· Machine wellbeing, including removal of swarf, lubrication, cleaning and reporting repairs
· To be responsible for and carry out any duties in support of the Environmental Management System as defined in section 1.5 of the EMS manual;
· Ensure compliance with Company rules; and
· Any other duties as reasonably required by management.

Pay: £15.01-£25.01 per hour
