Job Summary
Purpose Of Position
To make the Home a special place to be and a real home for our clients.
Organise and share with staff the personal care needs of clients in a way that respects the privacy and dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
To organise and assist in the care of the residents physical environment and in the general day to day activities of the home, and provide physical and mental stimulation for their well being.
To plan and liaise with the Management / Manager / Deputy Manager the appropriate activities for all clients. Assist in the production and monitoring of the Home’s Activities/Entertainment Plan.
To liaise with the Management / Manager / Deputy Manager on the organisation of clients meetings.
To liaise with Manager / Deputy Manager / Nurse in Charge and assist new clients to settle into their new environment and liaise with their families.
Assist and organise in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations. Always treating residents with respect .
To organise and assist with the Home’s entertainment. Liaise with Management / Manager with regard to all visiting entertainers, the annual garden party / fete, Christmas party etc.
To organise and take part in regular trips out for the clients to local places of interest and to undertake clients requests. Trips may be undertaken using the Home’s transport or a hired coach.
To organise Monthly Activities Plan and News Letters
Pay: From £13.35 per hour

Education:

- Training: 1 year (preferred)
