Shropshire Cat Rescue is a dedicated animal welfare charity committed to providing shelter, veterinary care, and rehoming services for cats and kittens in the Shropshire area. We rely on passionate volunteers and community support to make a difference in the lives of countless animals.
The Role
1 day a week (4 hours) mainly outdoors
Must be over 18
Currently recruiting for the following shifts: Sunday am, Sunday pm, Monday am, Monday pm, Tuesday am, Wednesday am
If you love animals and want to be part of a rescued cat’s journey, this may well be the voluntary role for you. You will need to be physically and mentally fit as the role is demanding.
Working as part of a team, we are looking for volunteers who can commit to a regular shift, use their initiative and take instructions from a team leader.
A typical day will include emptying lots of litter trays, feeding, medicating, cleaning, laundry work and of course some playtime with the cats and kittens.
You will be working with one or two people within your team and in a beautiful setting with other animals including guinea pigs, a pygmy goat, a pony, two pigs, chickens and a duck. The owner has a miniature poodle Hector, who also volunteers!
