Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, serve customers with a smile, and contribute to a welcoming café atmosphere. All positions are paid, including internships, and prior experience is appreciated but not essential as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service
- Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, such as assembling sandwiches or snacks
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Experience
- Previous barista experience is mandatory; further training will also be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is desirable
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting is mandatory
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure prompt service
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for creating a positive customer experience
