Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and care to both adults and children with additional needs. The role involves working closely with children and vulnerable adults, fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence, development, and well-being. Duties
- Providing personalised support to children and adults, assisting with daily activities and routines
- Mentoring individuals to build confidence, independence, and life skills
- Supporting behavioural management programmes and implementing strategies to promote positive development.
- Building trusting relationships through empathetic communication and active listening
- Encouraging participation in social activities to promote community engagement
- Maintaining accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of behavioural support strategies is advantageous
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding principles and promoting positive outcomes for individuals in your care

Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
