Graphic Designer (Midweight)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our growing studio and play an important role within our creative team.
This is an ideal opportunity for a designer with a few years of agency experience or a freelancer who is looking to step into a strong midweight role with opportunities for further development.
Established in 2009, Waxwing Marketing is home to a sociable and collaborative team based in our beautiful offices in Castle Park, Frodsham. We offer hybrid working, with time spent both in the studio and working remotely each week.
Working within our creative team and reporting to the Studio Manager, you’ll produce designs across a broad range of client campaigns and marketing activity. You’ll be confident delivering ideas across both print and digital channels and enjoy taking concepts beyond a single asset into fully integrated campaign rollouts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing campaign and advertising creative across multiple channels
- Creating digital assets including social content, email design, website assets, motion and video content
- Producing print collateral, including direct mail
- Collaborating with the wider creative team to deliver strong creative outcomes
- Managing multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Supporting and sharing knowledge with junior members of the team
What we’re looking for:
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects
- Degree in Graphic Design or similar
- At least 3 years of experience working within the industry
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital work
- Confident creative thinker with strong conceptual and executional skills
- Experience working to brand guidelines and creating visually consistent work
- A good understanding of print processes and production requirements
- Experience creating motion graphics or simple animation
- Comfortable generating ideas as well as delivering polished final artwork
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience supporting or guiding junior designers would be advantageous
