About the Role
LISBOA is an independent Portuguese café and pastelaria in Sheffield, known for our Pastéis de Nata, Portuguese coffee, warm service, and busy café atmosphere.
We’re looking for a reliable, friendly and capable team member to join us in a varied role across both our kitchen and front of house team.
This is not a chef-only role, and it is not a front of house-only role. It is a hands-on café role for someone who enjoys working with food, serving customers, and getting stuck in wherever needed.
Some shifts will be more kitchen-focused, preparing and serving our breakfast, brunch and savoury menu. Other shifts will involve front of house service, taking orders, serving customers, making drinks, and helping keep the café running smoothly.

- Supporting with prep, cleaning, stock rotation and service
- Following recipes, portion guidance and food hygiene procedures
- Welcoming customers and providing warm, friendly service
- Taking orders and serving food and drinks
- Preparing coffees and other drinks, depending on experience and training
- Keeping the café clean, organised and well-presented

- Comfortable working in a busy café environment
- Happy to work across both kitchen and front of house
- Organised and able to follow procedures
- Positive, team-focused and willing to learn
- Genuinely interested in food, coffee and hospitality
Previous café experience is required.
Previous kitchen experience is required, especially in a café, brunch, sandwich, bakery or casual dining environment.
Barista experience is helpful, but not essential, as training can be provided for the right person.
