Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, serve a diverse clientele, and work within a welcoming setting. Prior experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food and drink preparation.
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage customer payments.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for all new staff members.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
