About the Role
We’re currently looking for experienced and reliable Skilled Construction Operatives to join our growing team working across multiple water industry projects within Kent, South East, East/West Sussex, and Hampshire area. This is a hands-on role working on essential infrastructure, including clean water and wastewater projects. You’ll be part of a team delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently across various sites in the South East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general groundworks and construction duties on water industry sites, including kerb laying, concrete works and installation of utilities.
- Work on large diameter pipe laying, drainage, and associated civil engineering tasks, including installation of temporary works and deep drainage.
- Understand drawings and able to complete basic setting out.
- Operate tools and small plant safely and effectively
- Follow RAMS, Site Instructions and drawings
- Maintain high Health, Safety & Environmental standards at all times
- Work as part of a team to meet project deadlines and deliver high risk tasks to a high standard of Health & Safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction (essential)
- Experience within the water industry must be fully capable of installing temporary works, large diameter pipework and assisting supervisors in testing/delivering completed works (essential).
- Valid CSCS Skilled card (essential)
- CPCS/NPORS (CSCS affiliated) for plant (essential)
- EUSR Categories 1-5 (preferred)
- Good understanding of construction Health & Safety
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Good work ethics and pride in works they deliver.
