Summary
We are seeking a Yard Operative and Forklift Driver to join our team in Somercotes. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient handling of materials and maintaining smooth operations at this branch. You will play a key part in supporting our mission to deliver quality products and excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials.
- Handle materials with care and precision.
- Conduct equipment repairs as needed to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous.
- Good basic math skills.
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving or materials handling preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
