Duties
- Safely operate designated vehicles to transport children between school locations and the YMCA After School Club facility.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment or supplies, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Communicate clearly with staff, parents, and children to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times, routes, and special instructions.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment.
- Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies during transit, coordinating with emergency responders if needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a driver
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines to ensure ongoing safety and reliability.
