Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Toddler Room Leader to oversee and nurture our 2- 3 year olds learners in a vibrant childcare setting located in. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for toddlers, ensuring their developmental needs are met through organised activities and attentive care. The position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with childcare experience to lead a team and make a positive impact on children's early years.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of early childhood educators within the toddler room, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
- Organise daily routines including meal times, naps, and play sessions to support the wellbeing of each child.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and training initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records related to children's attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices in early childhood development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience in nursery management or leadership roles is desirable.
- A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage daily routines effectively.
