The role
We're looking for an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to join our delivery team. You'll own client workstreams end-to-end — from requirements gathering and GAP analysis through solution design, build oversight, UAT, and go-live. You'll work directly with clients and developers, translating business needs into clear functional specifications and making sure delivery stays on time, on budget, and first-time-right.
This isn't an entry-level role. We need someone who's implemented Odoo (or a comparable ERP) in a live client environment, who can run a workshop confidently, and who can hold their ground on scope without losing the client relationship.

What you'll be doing
- Leading discovery workshops and gathering requirements directly with clients
- Producing GAP analyses and clear, precise functional specifications (PIDs)
- Managing scope and change requests — protecting budget and timeline without damaging the relationship
- Working closely with developers to ensure builds match the functional design
- Supporting UAT, training, and go-live
- Troubleshooting post-go-live issues and advising on configuration vs. genuine bugs vs. change requests
- Acting as the credible, confident voice of Smart IT in client-facing situations
What we're looking for
- Solid hands-on experience implementing Odoo (multiple full-cycle projects preferred, ideally including some larger or more complex implementations)
- Strong grasp of core modules — Accounting, Inventory, Sales, Purchasing; Manufacturing experience a strong plus
- Confident running workshops and managing stakeholders independently
- Sharp, structured documentation skills — GAP analysis, functional specs, change requests
- Comfortable working directly with developers to bridge functional and technical
- Based in the UK, able to work UK client hours
- Occasional travel to client sites for workshops, go-lives, and relationship building
Pay: From £50,000.00 per year
