The family set out to build a space that feels upbeat, welcoming, and full of energy, a modern neighbourhood coffeehouse where people meet, work, relax, and return day after day.
Noon blends specialty coffee roasted in London, artisan baking, freshly prepared food, and contemporary iced drink culture. It’s a lively, modern space crafted with genuine warmth and a fresh approach to hospitality.
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the Kitchen, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality food products, compliance with food safety standards, efficient labour utilisation, cost control, and timely delivery to the front of house. Lead on merchandising food lines to ensure the display is visually stunning and product rotated by day part. Ultimately own our food offer end to end.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Manage all daily production activities within the kitchen.
- Receipt of deliveries.
- Ensure production plans meet demand forecasts and store requirements.
- Be productive, hit production targets, manage the team to hit targets.
- Ensure all products are produced to company specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain smooth communication between kitchen and front of house operations.
- Merchandise the offer to ensure it looks stunning to our customers.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, develop, and manage kitchen assistants.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Create staff rotas to ensure appropriate labour coverage.
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on quality and accountability.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental Health requirements.
- Maintain accurate food safety records and documentation.
- Lead internal audits and support external inspections.
- Ensure all staff maintain required food hygiene certifications.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Place supplier orders in line with sales forecasts.
- Manage food and packaging inventory levels.
- Control waste and identify opportunities to improve margins.
- Monitor food cost percentages and labour costs.
- Approve purchasing requirements and manage supplier relationships.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
- Ensure consistency across all products supplied to stores.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Support product development and menu innovation initiatives.
Financial Accountability
- Manage kitchen budget and achieve KPIs.
- Deliver agreed labour, waste, and food cost targets.
- Produce operational reports and performance updates for the GM.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a medium-volume kitchen or food production facility.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Experience leading teams of employees.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of stock management and cost control.
Desirable
- Level 3 Food Safety Qualification.
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Multi-site food production experience.
- Experience supplying café, coffee shop, or retail food operations.
