Job Role, Duties & Responsibilities:
– Design & Development fasteners for Global usage.
– Co-ordinating design, drawings feasibility from CAD resource to manufacturing feasibility.
– Co-ordinate commercial RFQ handling.
– Project management global launches incl APQP, PO tracking, PPAP status reporting, etc.
– Maintenance of Bill Of Materials.
– Rationalise usages across similar end product architects.
– On-site representation in PD and for quality/technical issues.
– TVM idea generation and implementation.
– Promotion of new fastener technology.
– Co-ordinate prototype part support.
– Support Joint testing & verification.
– Support Customer Production sites to enable FTT(First Time Through)
Key Skills:
– Engineering background.
– Familiar with Industry Fastener Standards.
– Familiar with Fastener Manufacturing technics.
– Numerate & Literate.
– Ability to work to deadlines
– Ability to work on own initiative
Minimum Skills & Qualifications required:
– Higher Educational studies in Engineering.
– Comprehensive understanding of Fastener Engineering and Design principles.
– Understanding of computer-assisted design software i.e. 3D CAD.
– Competence of Microsoft applications, Excel / Power-point.
– Experience of tolerance analysis and manufacturing drawings.
Experience:
– Automotive Fastener design & application principles.
– Able to work without supervision.
– Team Player.
Location:
– You will be required to perform duties at the offices of Magic Square UK Tech Limited in Midlands, UK and also at any of the projects undertaken by Magic Square UK Tech Limited at their various client sites(for this role, in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, UK). You may also be required to perform duties in addition to any of your existing duties as the Employer may require from time to time require.
Reports to:
– You will be reporting to your line manager in MGS for all your tasks/projects mentioned above delivering your projects at their various client sites.
Salary Package or range:
- £25,000 – £30,000 per annum with benefits
