An exciting opportunity exists for the appropriately skilled and experienced candidate to join the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, as the Outpatient Department (OPD) Manager.
The post holder will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and operational management of the OPD activity and patient flow. Consequently, the application of safe staffing models and allocation of effective skill mix are key. Working collaboratively with Multidisciplinary Teams across the Organisation is a central activity, therefore, the enhanced communication skills are fundamental.
Other responsibilities of the role include:
Ensuring the delivery of evidenced based, patient centred and high quality care
Incident, risk and complaint management
Recruitment and development of staff
Ensure department compliance with statutory and mandatory training requirements
Proactive management of performance, conduct and attendance concerns in line with Trust policies
Monitor department key performance indicators
Service development and improvement
Creation of SOPs, policies and processes
Care, maintenance and complication management of central vascular access devices
Compliance with infection, prevention and control policies
Data interpretation and presentation
Informal and formal teaching / training
