Job Summary
We are seeking a Newly Qualified Welder / Fabricator to join our dynamic, hardworking & friendly manufacturing team. Duties
- Execute MIG welding and other welding techniques on different components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated products, ensuring all components meet quality standards.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to ensure precise fitting of parts.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds and fabricated items for quality assurance.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Recent completion of a recognised welding qualification or apprenticeship programme.
- Practical knowledge of MIG welding techniques.
- Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles relevant to fabrication processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Prior experience in assembly or working within a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
