£35,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience) + overtime + benefits
A global manufacturer based in Huddersfield is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Maintenance team.
This role is a mix of electrical and mechanical work across factory build, testing and site installation. It’s a stable business with a strong reputation, long-term projects and clear scope for development.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer

Build and assemble electrical and mechanical equipment within a factory environment

Carry out testing, inspections and checks prior to delivery
-
Support installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites when required

Complete electrical wiring, mechanical fit-out and sub-assemblies to drawings and specifications

Ensure all work is completed in line with quality, safety and cGMP standards

Take responsibility for job documentation and quality records

Work to production schedules and take ownership of assigned tasks

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to deliver projects on time
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (C&G / NVQ / HNC / HND)

Experience working within an FMCG environment

Electrical installation experience

Comfortable working in both factory and site based settings

Strong fault finding skills

Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
