Location: Canvey Island, Essex (SS8) Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour (circa £29,120 per annum, full-time) Full-time, part-time and bank hours available - Permanent - Part time - Flexible.

At Sunset View House we care for up to two young people in a warm, homely environment built on trust, consistency and a therapeutic, child-centred approach. We're looking for caring, resilient Support Workers to join our team and help our young people feel safe, valued and supported to thrive.
Previous experience with working with children is required. If you have the right values and a genuine desire to make a difference, we'll give you the training and support to build a rewarding career in residential childcare.
What you'll do
- Provide day-to-day care and support in a safe, nurturing home
- Build trusting relationships and be a positive role model
- Support the young people with education, health, hobbies and independence
- Take part in activities, outings and everyday routines
- Keep accurate records and follow care and safeguarding plans
- Work as part of a close, supportive team
What we're looking for
Essential
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Warmth, patience, resilience and good communication skills
- Willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
- Aged 18 or over, with the right to work in the UK
- Willingness to work towards (or already hold) the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
Desirable
- Experience in residential childcare, support work, SEN, youth or care settings
- An understanding of trauma, attachment, autism or ADHD
- Full UK driving licence
