Experienced HGV Technician Opportunity at Leading Caerphilly Commercial Vehicle Dealership
Our client, a well-established franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in Caerphilly, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their busy Service Department. - Monday to Friday working hours (6:00am-2:30pm and 1:30pm-10:00pm)
- 1 in 2 Saturdays (7:00am-1:00pm) paid at enhanced rates
Duties:
- Conduct all service and maintenance work efficiently and to the highest quality standards within manufacturer timeframes
- Support colleagues with technical issues and workshop innovations to ensure smooth operations
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions comprehensively, maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Document diagnosis, repairs, service, and safety inspections thoroughly
- Contribute to customer retention by providing professional and dependable service
- Support the Service Department in meeting operational targets and quality expectations
Requirements:
- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; alternatively, strong long-serving, time-served experience
- Dedicated, reliable, and able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment
- Good team player with a proactive attitude
- Motivated to work towards team targets and personal development
- Holding an active Class 1 or 2 HGV driving licence is highly advantageous but not essential
