We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and previous janitorial experience to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and stored correctly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Adhere to company policies regarding cleaning protocols and confidentiality
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently without supervision
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning activities
