Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and responsible Childminding Assitant to provide exceptional childcare in a small loving home based setting alongside the childminder. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate their passion for working with children.This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment while engaging children in activities that support their development and well-being while fostering a positive atmosphere..
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children alongside the childminder at all times during scheduled hours
- Plan and organise age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
- Plan craft activities and days out with the children
- Assist with daily routines including feeding, dressing,nappy changing etc
- Prepare snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all toys and equipment are safe and hygienic
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Manage behavioural issues with patience and positive reinforcement
- Provide emotional support and foster a nurturing environment that encourages independence
Requirements
- Experiencd with children, nursery experience or early childhood education preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate childcare competence with a caring attitude
- Organised, punctual, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Knowledge of the EYFS and Paediatric First Aid is advantageous
- Flexibility to adapt to different family needs

We are looking for 2 Assistants;
Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday 8.00-18.00
1 Week off at Christmas
All bank holidays off
Training provided
Start date; September.
