Quantum Profile Systems Ltd is a manufacturing company based in Royton, Oldham. We are looking for the right person to join our busy Production Team as an Extrusion Operator.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and run all extruded profile process equipment
- Conduct pre-use safety checks of all equipment and PPE
- Pick and allocate correct raw materials and packaging
- Clean and assemble extrusion tooling
- Conduct quality checks of extruded profiles
- Apply practical problem-solving approach to faults
- Safely assemble and pack extruded profiles to customer requirements
- Monitor and capture production process data
- Contribute to the achievement of department, business and service targets
- Cooperate with all internal departments
- Highlight any production problems and be involved in continuous improvement projects

Qualifications/knowledge/experience - desirable but not essential
- Extrusion profile processing & setting
- PVC polymer processing knowledge
- Extrusion tooling and mechanical experience
- Production line experience
Intrinsic elements of role:
- High levels of moving and handling, which will include bending and stooping
- High manual tasks, lifting products below 25kg
- High levels of manual dexterity
- High use of manual hand tools
- Moderate use of safety equipment including PPE
- Standing for high duration of shift
- Low use of DSE equipment
Working Hours
The Extrusion department operates on a 24-hour period between 6am Monday to 12.00 noon Saturday.
Employees work on annualised hours which are set into a fixed, 7 week rotating 3 shift cycle comprising 6 weeks work and 1 week off. Start and finish times for each shift pattern are as follows:
6 - 2 sat shift
05.50 - 14.00 Mon to Fri & 05.50 - 12.00 Sat
10 – 6 shift
21.50 - 06.00
2 - 10 shift
13:50 - 22.00 (13.30 start Mon only)
Salary
Salary for the role starts at £28,500. A further salary increase to £30,000 is available once fully trained to operator level one.
Pay: £28,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
