Excell Supply is recruiting caring and committed SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in specialist provisions and mainstream schools across Runcorn. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support.

The Role:
- Support pupils with SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and confidence.
- Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and use de-escalation strategies where appropriate.
- Support pupils with both their academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs is desirable.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
