Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor / Assistant Caretaker to join our established team to carry out and oversee cleaning operations across our facilities. This role involves hands on cleaning, supervising cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and assisting with general caretaking duties to maintain a welcoming and pristine environment for all guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Supervision
- Supervise and support the cleaning team to ensure high standards are maintained throughout the clubhouse and facilities. You will be hands on.
- Allocate daily cleaning tasks and monitor completion.
- Carry out regular quality inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Manage cleaning supplies, equipment, and stock levels.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety requirements.
Assistant Caretaking Duties
- Carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
- Report and monitor maintenance issues, liaising with contractors where required.
- Support room setups for events, competitions, meetings, and functions.
- Ensure all public areas, changing rooms, toilets, and communal spaces are clean, safe, and presentable.
- Assist with waste management and recycling procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will :
- Have previous cleaning or facilities experience, ideally in a supervisory role.
- Be organised and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Have a strong eye for detail and commitment to high standards.
- Be practical, reliable, and willing to undertake a variety of duties.
- Possess good communication and teamwork skills.
- Be flexible regarding working hours, this job includes one day at the weekend and early starts
- Have an understanding of health and safety procedures.
Desirable
- Previous experience within hospitality, leisure, or golf club environments.
- Basic maintenance or caretaking experience.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
Hours
This position is 35 hours per week, 7 hours a day over 5 days. Start time 5 - 5.30am including a day at the weekend.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
