As our dedicated Corporate Secretary prepares for retirement, we are looking for someone to build on that strong foundation in our newly developed role of Board & Executive Administrator - could it be you?
This role matters: Every important decision made at St John's Hospice helps ensure local people and their loved ones receive specialist care and support when they need it most. Behind those decisions is strong governance, clear communication and effective administration that enables our Board of Trustees, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team to lead with confidence.
Working at the heart of the Hospice, this role provides the coordination, organisation and governance expertise that help our Trustees and senior leaders fulfil their responsibilities effectively.
We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and discreet professional to provide expert coordination and administration to our Trustees, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. You will help ensure our governance processes are accurate, well-managed and clearly documented, supporting the smooth running of Board and committee activity and enabling effective communication across the Hospice.
This role would suit someone with strong administrative or governance experience, excellent written communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, handling sensitive information and producing high-quality documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
Key role information:
- The role is for 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly to suit the right candidate.
- Occasional evening work includes attending and managing Board and committee meetings (usually quarterly).
- The role will also provide administrative support to the Palliative Care Educator.
At St John's Hospice, you'll become part of a passionate team dedicated to providing specialist holistic care and support to patients and families across our community.
If you are looking for an opportunity to use your organisational skills to make a meaningful contribution to a respected local charity, we'd love to hear from you.
