Position Overview
As a Bartender at Vox, you’ll be the face of our bar — crafting exceptional drinks, delivering outstanding service, and making sure every guest leaves with a smile. Whether you’re mixing a classic cocktail or recommending your personal favourite, you'll play a key role in making each night one to remember.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Take drink orders and serve a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Prepare drinks to spec using in-house recipes
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organised bar area at all times
- Learn and prepare for daily service, including setup and closing tasks
- Operate the POS system and handle payments accurately
- Provide recommendations on drinks and menu items to enhance the guest experience
- Monitor and manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Respond to customer inquiries and feedback professionally
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth and efficient service
What We’re Looking For
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer is a plus
- Excellent communication, customer service, and people skills
- Positive, friendly, and approachable attitude
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-energy environment
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and licensing regulations
