Key Responsibilities:
Lead planning services for strategic infrastructure and renewable energy projects, ensuring project programmes and budgets are effectively managed.
Drive business growth in Scotland by proactively securing new opportunities and expanding our client base.
Oversee work enquiries, prepare competitive bids, and develop strong client relationships.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
Provide strategic direction and expert guidance on complex planning and regulatory matters.
Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring projects meet client expectations, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and support Senior and Junior Planners while building and strengthening the team as the business grows.
You will act as a primary client liaison, ensuring that projects meet the client’s requirements and timelines as well as any regulatory requirements.
Maintain up to date knowledge of planning and energy policies and best practices in Scotland and the UK.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a Senior Town Planning role with a strong background in onshore or offshore wind energy.
A track record of successfully managing a variety of planning applications across the onshore or offshore wind sectors.
Excellent knowledge of Scotland’s and the UK’s planning legislation and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Very strong business development acumen to help grow the business in Scotland.
Chartered Member of the RTPI.
A full UK driving license.
