Your Role:
As a Team Leader, you’ll support young people with complex needs in a trauma-informed, child-focused setting. You’ll lead by example, help shape positive routines, and guide a team that puts children’s wellbeing first. You'll play a key role in care planning, staff supervision, rota management and ensuring high-quality, regulated care standards are consistently met.
Purpose:
- Build meaningful relationships with children and staff
- Supporting your home to achieve the best possible outcomes for children
- Provide the best opportunities available for children in our care
- Support care plans, keywork, reviews and multi-agency meetings
- Provide day-to-day team leadership and shift oversight
- Supervise and support staff development and performance
- Manage rotas, handovers and ensure effective shift planning
- Safeguard children and uphold home policies and procedures
- Support the Registered Manager with audits, quality assurance and improvement
- Lead with a positive mindset which promotes the homes culture & environment
About You:
- Level 3/4 Residential Childcare Diploma (or working towards it)
- Previous care experience (residential or transferable skills)
- Driver (essential)
- Approachable, positive and resilient
- Confident leading shifts and guiding others
- Committed to safeguarding and children’s rights
- Strong written and verbal communicator
- Calm under pressure with a good sense of humour
- Willing to learn and develop in your role
