Position: Valeter Driver
Salary: £28,089 per annum
Hours: 42.5 /week
Weekday Rota: Week 1 MON-FRI 07:15-16:00 / Week 2 MON-FRI 08:15-17:00
Weekend Rota: Every other SAT 07:30-16:00
Location: Richmond Portsmouth, PO6 1RU

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Valeter Driver to join our busy Vehicle Preparation Team at our flagship dealership in Portsmouth!
Working as part of a team of six, you'll help prepare around five vehicles each day to the high standards our customers expect. From professionally valeting vehicles to moving them safely between our dealership sites, you'll play an important role in ensuring every vehicle leaves us looking its very best.
Regular overtime is available, particularly during busy month-end periods, and is paid at time and a half. For the right candidate, we also offer specialist training in clay barring, machine polishing and GardX certified ceramic coating.
As our Valeter Driver, you'll be:
- Valeting and preparing a minimum of five vehicles each day to a high standard.
- Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors ready for customer handover and display.
- Carrying out basic vehicle inspections and reporting any damage or defects.
- Safely moving vehicles between Richmond Motor Group sites when required.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure daily preparation targets are achieved
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Delivering exceptional presentation standards with great attention to detail.
Ideally, you are:
- A proven Valeter with previous exposure working within a similar Vehicle Valeter, Driver Valeter, Car Wash, Vehicle Preparation or Vehicle Detailing role.
- Experienced in clay barring, machine polishing / mopping or ceramic coating would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided.
- Able to work in a physically active role and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Passionate about presenting vehicles to the highest possible standard.
- Proud of producing high-quality work with excellent attention to detail.
- A good communicator who is willing to support their teammates.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
