About the Role
Ashley James Medical is seeking experienced Emergency Medical Technicians to join our operational team on a flexible, self-employed basis. The role supports event and venue medical cover, night-time economy deployments, patient transport, repatriation work and other company taskings across the United Kingdom. You will work alongside and support HCPC-registered Paramedics within our clinical governance framework.
Essential Requirements
- Current recognised Emergency Medical Technician qualification (or equivalent accepted by the company) Minimum 1 year's frontline ambulance service experience
- Current CERAD blue-light driving qualification or an equivalent recognised emergency response driving qualification
- Full UK manual driving licence; C1 category is desirable
- Able and willing to complete an in-person ILS OSCE scenario assessment
- Physically fit and capable of safe patient and manual handling
- Legally entitled to live and work in the United Kingdom
- Able to successfully complete an interview
- Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
- Able to complete company vetting and employment reference checks
Main Duties
Provide autonomous patient assessment, treatment and clinical decision-making within the EMT scope of practice
- Work alongside and support Paramedics in providing advanced clinical care
- Provide emergency care at events, venues and night-time economy deployments
- Support patient transport and repatriation operations
- Support safe treatment, referral, escalation and discharge decisions within scope of practice Drive company vehicles when authorised
- Carry out vehicle, medication and equipment checks
- Complete clinical and operational documentation accurately
- Deliver excellent patient care and customer service
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and clinical governance
- Comply with company clinical policies, procedures and health and safety requirements

Training
Successful applicants will receive additional in-house operational training, induction and ongoing professional development relevant to their role.
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
