Business Development Manager – Restaurant Concierge

Job DescriptionRole Purpose
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is the restaurant's external ambassador and revenue-driving relationship builder across London. This role combines business development, sales, networking and concierge services to build relationships with hotels, corporate organisations, event planners and premium referral partners. The objective is to increase restaurant footfall, secure private dining bookings, grow event business and establish the restaurant as a preferred venue across London's hospitality and corporate sectors.

- Primary focus on Mayfair, City of London, Canary Wharf, West End and key hotel/corporate clusters.
Working Style
- Field-based role with the majority of time spent meeting partners, attending networking events and hosting familiarisation visits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Networking & Concierge Relationships
- Build relationships with Head Concierges and concierge teams across London's luxury hotels.
- Attend Les Clefs d'Or events and hospitality networking functions.
- Host concierge familiarisation dinners, tastings and restaurant tours.
- Deliver menus, private dining packs and promotional material.
- Develop referral partnerships with luxury hotels.
2. Corporate Business Development
- Identify target companies across Mayfair, Canary Wharf, City and West End.
- Build relationships with:
- HR Managers
- Office Managers
- Executive Assistants
- Administration Managers
- Secure bookings for:
- Client entertainment
- Team dinners
- Leadership meetings
- Festive celebrations
- Private dining
- Develop long-term corporate accounts.
3. Event Agency Partnerships
- Build relationships with:
- Event agencies
- DMC companies
- Wedding planners
- Luxury concierge companies
- Secure preferred venue status.
- Negotiate commercial agreements.
- Maintain long-term agency partnerships.
4. Private Dining & Events
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Prepare proposals and organise site visits.
- Coordinate with Reservations, Events and Kitchen teams.
- Upsell premium menus, wine pairings and event enhancements.
- Host VIP events when required.
5. Brand Representation
- Represent the restaurant at hospitality events and networking functions.
- Organise concierge evenings and partner events.
- Support marketing collaborations with hotels, brands and agencies.
6. CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Track meetings, proposals and conversions.
- Produce weekly activity and revenue reports.
- Monitor return on investment for business development activities.
Job Profile (Ideal Candidate)
The successful candidate will have:
Experience
- Proven experience in Business Development, Sales or Key Account Management.
- Experience within premium hospitality, luxury hotels, private members' clubs, events or luxury brands.
- Existing relationships across London's hotel, corporate or event sectors would be advantageous.
Skills

Success in the First 90 Days
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Audit existing partnerships and establish an organised CRM.
- Build a targeted list of hotels, corporate clients and event agencies.
- Host at least three familiarisation events.
- Secure initial corporate accounts and agency partnerships.
- Establish a consistent monthly reporting process.
Pay: £38,800.00-£42,000.00 per year
