Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Van & Trailer Plant Delivery Driver to join our Bann Hire & Sales team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting Plant Equipment between our Hire Depots and customers, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate company vans and trailers to deliver vehicles and equipment to various destinations, following all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues, proper fluid levels, and secure cargo arrangements
- Load and unload vans and trailers with heavy lifting equipment when necessary, ensuring cargo is secure during transit
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, warehouse teams, and customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection records, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes
- Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management or staging vehicles for transport when required
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies to promote a safe working environment at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CPC driver certification is highly desirable
- Experience operating Plant - eg forklifts, scissor lifts, etc is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a warehouse or loading environment
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and customers
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is a plus
- Ability to stay organised, punctual, and maintain focus whilst on the road
