About the Role
Belfast has a strong network of charities community organisations and international development groups and at Africa Humanitarian Action and Development Services we support programmes designed to strengthen communities improve access to essential services and deliver practical development outcomes.
We are looking for a Programme Officer who can support the planning coordination monitoring and reporting of humanitarian and community development programmes.
You will work closely with programme teams partners community organisations and internal support functions to help ensure projects are delivered on time activities are properly documented and programme objectives remain on track.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination: Support the planning implementation and day to day coordination of humanitarian and development activities.
Project Monitoring: Track project milestones outputs timelines and agreed indicators and help identify areas requiring follow up.
Partner Support: Maintain regular communication with delivery partners community organisations and other stakeholders involved in programme activities.
Reporting: Assist with programme reports progress updates donor documentation and internal monitoring information.
Budget Support: Work with finance and programme colleagues to track project expenditure and ensure spending information is properly recorded.
Documentation: Maintain organised programme files activity records meeting notes and supporting evidence for reporting and compliance purposes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Support meetings workshops consultations and other engagement activities with programme participants partners and community representatives.
Programme Improvement: Help identify implementation challenges lessons learned and practical opportunities to improve future programme delivery.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in programme support humanitarian work international development community services nonprofit organisations or a closely related field.
Programme Knowledge: Good understanding of project coordination monitoring reporting stakeholder engagement and programme administration.
Organisation: Strong planning skills with the ability to manage multiple activities deadlines documents and stakeholder requirements.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills with confidence working with internal teams partners and community organisations.
Analytical Skills: Able to review programme information track progress and identify issues that may affect delivery.
Teamwork: Comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues across programme finance operations and partner organisations.
Digital Skills: Experience with spreadsheets project tracking systems document management tools or programme databases is preferred.
Mindset: You are organised dependable and community focused. You take ownership of your responsibilities communicate clearly and remain focused on helping programmes deliver practical measurable outcomes.
Pay: £2,700.00-£3,100.00 per month
