Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions using advanced techniques such as balayage or ombré
- Use salon software to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Offer personalized consultations on color theory and hairstyle options tailored to each client’s preferences and features.
- Upsell retail products including hair care, styling tools, and cosmetics to enhance client results and satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized work environment adhering strictly to sanitation protocols for safety and hygiene.
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling payments.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling, customer service, and retail sales strategies.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling, coloring, and grooming techniques.
- Proficiency in salon software for appointment management and retail tracking.
- Strong knowledge of color theory, sanitation practices, and current beauty trends.
- Experience with hair extensions (including tape-in or clip-in), eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading preferred.
- Ability to operate tools such as straight razors safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse clients.
- Demonstrated success in retail sales and upselling techniques within a salon environment.
- Store management experience is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in store management tasks like inventory control and client scheduling.
