A message from our Engineering Manager
I'm looking for experienced, time-served engineers to join my team.
Foodpro manufacture frozen ready meals for major UK retailers, so keeping the factory running safely and reliably is what we do. You'll be working on equipment including Proseal tray sealers, BCH systems, depositors and conveyor systems, carrying out planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns and helping us improve equipment reliability across the factory.
This is a hands-on role.
You'll spend most of your time on the factory floor fault finding, carrying out repairs and supporting Production when equipment breaks down. Every shift is different. One day you could be carrying out planned maintenance, the next dealing with a complex breakdown or working on improvements that make the equipment more reliable.
Engineering doesn't always finish when the shift is due to end. Breakdowns happen, priorities change and sometimes another engineer needs support. I'm looking for people who understand that flexibility is part of working in a busy manufacturing environment.
You'll have my support, but I'll also expect you to use your experience, make decisions, take ownership of your work and work safely at all times.
About you
I'm looking for experienced, time-served engineers who enjoy working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
You'll be confident fault finding, practical in your approach and capable of making decisions when the pressure is on. You'll communicate well with colleagues, work safely and take pride in doing the job properly.
Essential requirements
- Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering qualification.
- At least three years' engineering experience, ideally within food manufacturing or another fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good English language skills to ensure safe and effective communication.
- Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to participate in the engineering shift rota (including Saturday paid at x1.5) and provide cover when required.
If you're looking for a hands-on engineering role where your experience will be valued and you'll be trusted to get on with the job, I'd like to hear from you.
