Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Deli Counter Manager to lead our deli team with passion and precision. This role is perfect for someone with a strong culinary background, supervisory experience, and a love for hospitality. As the Deli Counter Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and inspire your team to deliver outstanding service and quality products.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the deli team to ensure efficient food preparation, cooking, and serving processes.
- Manage daily deli operations, including inventory control, product display, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly followed to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Train staff on food production techniques, customer service skills, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to develop appealing deli offerings that meet customer preferences.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence.
- Oversee the implementation of food safety protocols and conduct regular quality checks.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a food service or hospitality setting.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse staff.
- Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to retail delis or kitchens.
- Excellent communication skills to train staff effectively and interact with customers confidently.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with serving customers in fast-paced settings such as delis or cafes.
- Leadership qualities that inspire trust and promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Barista or beverage preparation experience is a plus but not required.
