We are seeking passionate, resilient, and child-centred individuals to join our team as Residential Support Workers. You will play a key role in the daily care, safeguarding, and emotional development of the young people living in our home.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide consistent emotional and practical support to children aged 8-16 .
- Assist in daily routines: meals, education, health appointments, personal care where necessary
- Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
- Support young people with behaviour management, emotional regulation, and life skills
- Participate in recreational and social activities, in and out of the home
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, incident reports, and risk assessments
- Work as part of a team, including sleep-ins or shift work
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and adhere to all policies, legislation, and Ofsted standards
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with vulnerable children and young people
- Experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 2 years)
- Full UK driving licence ( essential )
- Strong communication, patience, and resilience
- Ability to work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and a thorough safer recruitment process
