Euro Performance is looking for a skilled vehicle technician to join their award winning family run independent specialist garage established for over 22 years with an exceptional reputation for quality and service.
An NVQ level 3 / C&G equivalent in vehicle maintenance/repairs ,and a minimum of 4 years time served experience is essential. A main dealer background in any of the following brands would be advantageous: Audi/ Volkswagen/ BMW/ Mini/ Seat/ Skoda. We would consider someone who has completed a LV1 or LV2 qualification part/full time without the desired experience to then be able to finish a LV3 qualification in an apprenticeship type format with ourselves.
If you are currently working at an independent non specialist garage but like the prospect of becoming a brand specialist technician we would also be interested to hear from you.
The right candidates will be able to work as part of a team but also have the technical ability/ initiative to work on their own, as at times this is a very fast paced/ pressured environment. You must have a passion to keep up to date with the ongoing automotive technologies in order not to be left behind. Upholding excellent standards of workmanship and the ability to deliver a unique customer experience is our mission. Having a high level of attention to detail, and pride in the job is really key to our core values as a respected independent workshop.
A current MOT testing licence would be desirable, but not essential.
The candidate will have their own tools/toolbox but specialist tooling/diagnostic tools are not required.
Key requirements:
- Carry out servicing and general repairs to exacting manufacturers high standards
- Prepare VHC inspection reports for presentation to customers
- Follow a logical & methodical process when diagnosing faults on vehicles
- Analyse job cards to understand vehicles condition/ complaints
- Document findings and liaise with office staff to update customer
- Test drive vehicles to prove/ investigate findings
