Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to join our logistics team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation activities to ensure the efficient movement of goods in a B2C and B2B environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and a solid understanding of logistics operations. This position is part of a small Operations team working in the White Glove / White Goods sector supporting the most prestigious brands in this market. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure the timely deliveries in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Coordinate daily transportation activities, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers and 3PL providers.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments, update statuses, and optimize routing.
- Use of Bespoke IT system to create documentation and invoicing.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, and external partners via phone etiquette to resolve issues promptly.
- Enter data related to shipments, inventory movements, and carrier information with precision using data entry skills.
- Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays and recommend process improvements.
- Oversee compliance with shipping regulations and company policies to ensure safe and legal transport practices.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to coordinate inventory movements and optimize logistics workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities for reporting and audit purposes.
- Support the integration of new logistics software or systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in transportation coordination or logistics management within a supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with a transportation management systems (TMS), Route planning and administration, High degree of customer service experience and man management of drivers.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, freight documentation, and compliance standards.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret logistical data and improve operational processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams, carriers, and clients.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and maintaining detailed records.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL) is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
