Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to join our team here at Forss House Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and excellent customer service are highly valued. Prior experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding our standards of hygiene and presentation.
There is a possibility of Live in for the right candidate in the form of a two bedroom flat however a driving license would be required as the flat is off site.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities according to established standards
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as towels and toiletries
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust surfaces to maintain a spotless environment
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Assist with laundry duties as required
- Provide excellent customer service by attending to guest requests courteously and efficiently
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential
- Basic cooking skills are considered an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting or bending
