We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of a robust compliance framework within a regulated environment.
You will provide clear, practical guidance on regulatory obligations, manage compliance risk and help ensure that policies, controls and day-to-day practices support consistently fair and compliant outcomes. This is a visible role, requiring sound judgement, excellent communication and the confidence to challenge constructively.
Your remit
- Lead and maintain the compliance monitoring, assurance and risk-management framework.
- Review policies, procedures and controls, ensuring they remain effective, proportionate and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Provide trusted compliance advice to senior leaders and operational teams.
- Identify, assess and escalate regulatory, conduct and operational risks.
- Lead investigations into potential breaches, complaints, incidents and areas of concern; document evidence, findings and appropriate actions.
- Produce clear management information, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting, audit activity and responses to information requests where required.
- Monitor regulatory developments and translate relevant changes into practical business actions.
- Deliver compliance training, guidance and communications across the organisation.
- Partner with operational and product teams to improve processes and address root causes.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability and positive customer outcomes.
What you will bring
- Significant experience in a compliance, regulatory, risk or financial-crime role within a regulated business.
- Strong knowledge of applicable UK regulation, with experience in areas such as FCA requirements, AML, KYC, sanctions, conduct risk or consumer protection, as relevant to the business.
- Proven ability to manage compliance monitoring, investigations and remediation activity.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a well-reasoned and evidence-based approach to decision-making.
- The ability to interpret complex regulation and communicate it clearly to non-specialist audiences.
- Strong written skills, including experience preparing policies, reports, regulatory correspondence and senior-management updates.
- Confidence to influence stakeholders, challenge decisions appropriately and escalate issues when necessary.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A compliance, risk or financial-crime qualification is desirable.

- Salary of £75,000–£90,000, depending on experience.
