Overview
We are seeking a motivated Welding Assistant to support our fabrication team in <LOCATION>. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the welding and manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will assist with various welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality output. Prior experience in welding or metal work is disarable but not essential, training will be provided for the right applicant.

Duties
- Assist experienced welders with preparation and setup of welding equipment.
- Support fabrication and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Help in cutting, shaping, and fitting materials according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to support fabrication tasks.
- Handle materials carefully during assembly and assist with the movement of components throughout the workshop.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques is desirable.
- confidence with hand tools, power tools, and general fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with good organisational skills to support assembly processes.
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations accurately for measurements and adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety in a workshop environment.

Pay: £12.71-£20.00 per hour
