Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding, and bricklaying tasks.
- Assist in constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures such as walls, roofs, and foundations.
- Prepare work areas by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project plans.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any faults or damages promptly.
- Assist with site clean-up and organisation to ensure a tidy and safe workspace.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in masonry, bricklaying, carpentry, roofing, welding or related trades is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised construction equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
