We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and family members to ensure consistent and compassionate care
- Help with household tasks including light cleaning and meal preparation when required
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as needed
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and reporting any concerns promptly
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months experience is required
- Valid driving licence is desirable but no need to drive
- DBS in the last 12 months
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
