Overview:
The Lead Install Operative is fully accountable for the successful completion of Strongpoint projects during overnight installations. This includes managing all install operatives, ensuring consistent quality, accurate data capture, and professional behaviours that uphold Strongpoint’s reputation. The role requires excellent communication, strong leadership, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across all sites.
Reporting to the Labour Supply Chain Manager, the Lead Install Operative will work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, covering 5 shifts out of 7, including Sunday work, with frequent nationwide travel and overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
- Take full accountability for the delivery of each installation, managing both employed and agency operatives.
- Ensure operatives always work professionally, and that behaviours onsite reflect Strongpoint’s standards.
- Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to team members to maintain high performance.
2. Communication:
- Maintain clear, effective communication with store managers, duty managers, store staff, and installation colleagues.
- Ensure the installation team understands their roles, responsibilities, and project expectations.
3. Quality and Data Accuracy:
- Guarantee consistent installation quality across all sites.
- Ensure accurate capture of equipment volumes, materials used, and other relevant data on sign-off reports.
- Conduct quality checks during and after installations to verify standards are met.
4. Project Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate overnight installations to ensure timely completion.
- Manage resources effectively, including tools, equipment, and manpower, to optimize project delivery.
5. Motivation and Support:
- Inspire and motivate the installation team to maintain high standards and meet deadlines.
- Address issues proactively, offering support to resolve challenges efficiently.
6. Nationwide Coverage:
- Travel nationwide as required, with frequent stays away from home to support installation schedules.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve installation processes, workflow, and team performance.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate improvements into daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading installation teams, preferably in overnight or shift-based work.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team, ensuring professionalism onsite.
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and accurate data reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to challenges.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including Sundays, and to travel extensively.

Pay: £36,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
